ORP strengthens its presence in Saudi Arabia: NCOSH (Riyadh) joins the Institutional Advisory Committee

 

The ORP International Foundation (Occupational Risk Prevention), an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving quality of working life and driving innovation in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), begins the year with a strategic milestone: the incorporation of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH), based in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia, KSA), into the Foundation’s Institutional Advisory Committee.

This step consolidates ORP as a global bridge between institutions, companies, universities, and experts who share the same priority: protecting lives, enhancing well-being, and accelerating intelligent prevention at work.

What is NCOSH and why is it a key player in Saudi Arabia?

NCOSH is the national council aimed at advancing Occupational Safety and Health in Saudi Arabia, working on critical elements such as awareness, legislation and regulation, the development of national capacities and resources, and the improvement of inspection, investigation, and accident and workplace injury statistics systems, with the goal of strengthening practices aligned with international standards.

In its vision, it projects toward a more competitive and humane labor market: safe and healthy work environments.

In addition, its momentum is integrated into the country’s transformation strategy, linked to national programs aimed at modernizing OSH practices, in line with Vision 2030.

NCOSH’s incorporation into ORP’s Institutional Advisory Committee strengthens an approach that today makes the difference in any advanced economy: moving from compliance to holistic prevention with real impact.

Saudi Arabia in the international spotlight: GOSH8 (Riyadh) and the global OSH conversation

This new chapter of collaboration comes at a particularly relevant moment: Saudi Arabia is positioning OSH as a lever for modernization and international leadership.

In this framework, the hosting of GOSH8 (Global Conference on Occupational Safety and Health) stands out, scheduled for April 27–29, 2026 at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh, under the theme “Sustainable Safety for a Prosperous Future”.

The event features high-level panels, specialized workshops, international talks, and a technology exhibition; in addition, it includes the third edition of the global GOSHATHON hackathon, focused on applied innovation for OSH.
